Yeah, they're good, but the females are carrying this series. This would just be manga #24,712 if you got rid of all the females. Aki is good but wouldn't be able to carry on his own. It's even joked to within the manga multiple times that he is meant to represent your average Shonen hero with an honorable quest for revenge and righteousness.
