Recently, I binge-read Part 2 (though I’m not sure if that’s the official term, since the chapters and volumes continue directly from what’s called “Part 1”).
Each chapter has its own impactful highlights and is engaging to read, but when you try to connect them as a whole, it feels incoherent, something I can hardly even call a story.
In particular, there are characters where you can’t help but wonder, “Why did this person even show up?” as well as seemingly important foreshadowing or characters that get tossed aside carelessly.
It gives me the impression that Fujimoto is just making things up on the spot, moving the story forward haphazardly.
