If you're nocanz then "tuning" is going to be a bit more involved. Adjustable gas blocks [videoed] are an option but they don't have the best reputation for reliability. Manufacturers often widen gas ports to compensate for the decreased "dwell time" in shorter barrels as there's less bore ahead of the gas block but if you're going beyond 13.9" inches then try to get a barrel that has a port .079" / wider
