something about the vivid yet garish color pallete early on and edgyness when you saw it at a friends house or late at night while sleep deprived. It can't be recreated. You like had to be there man. The feeling that your tube tv was a window into an other world while that blue glow illuminated your dark room.

Also the occult themes are well researched yet sadly abandoned halfway for fucked up power scaling bullshit. Show overall really captures that middle school kind of angst but in a positive way.

As an adult I sometimes get drunk and rewatch it. It's the only way to get the feels back.
