Remember around when Classic was announced and someone ported the census addon (which gives extremely accurate playercounts on vanilla/tbc/wotlk servers) to retail and it showed that only like 20 or 30 thousand people were playing the game at the time and then Blizzard immediately blocked the API that census needed to work?
