What are some good time trial tips? I've been trying to start off by S-ranking Water Palace on SSS, but I cannot for the life of me shave off the half-second I need.

I'm taking sharp turns, lvl 2 boosting as much as possible, even on boats, charging boost off ramps, trying to hold off the gas when drifting on the boat section to make as tight a turn as possible, it's just not enough.

I've tried a few different gadget builds, but I just find them slower than my personal best. Right now I'm just using Starting Boost Bounty, lvl 2 & 3 charge, Drift Charge Kit on Silver's car with Amy.
