Torque converter automatic transmissions are over 100 years old yet europeans still act like it’s some mysterious untested new technology
DCT transmissions switch faster and more accurately than any human ever can, which is why they stopped shipping sportscars with manual gearshifters. 15 years ago manual was faster, which is why it was the sporty option for a long time. Not anymore.
CVTs are perfectly fine for commuters they just got a bad name because of a bad batch made by jetco, and boomers being mad because “it guddon feel diffrunt”, and now to appease literal retards carmakers are forced to give them fake gears, removing the entire point
The only upside to manual gearboxes is that they are cheaper to repair, even though normies will add a bunch of other extras that have the same downside without blinking, and yet those don’t even make you suck cock 1500 times per day, every single day for ten years, just in case when it breaks it will only costs you 300 euros to fix instead of 600. If you demand a manual shifter, you also shouldnt be allowed to order different paint, leather seats, air conditioning or a better soundsystem either - those cost money duh!
