so what youre getting at is that if you think two animals are somewhat related and share certain qualities that they are the same.. or that the fact that a bee descends from an ancient wasp (you're right) that bees are wasps... which isn't true. also like you said a wasp isn't a rigid clade and even though the bee descended from a creature which today is called a "wasp" doesn't mean it actually is included among "wasps" today
