As Latin American I dislike the whole "third worldism" and "decolonization" movement.
First because it was promoted by Communists in the context of Cold War demonizing Western Europeans. Which are a very humanist culture from which human rights, democracy, freedom of speech, feminism, welfare state, equality before the law, tolerance, equity and rationalism aroused.
And secondly because it was just pretext for Islam to attack Christianity by trying to associate Islam with anti-colonialism and Christianity with oppression. The very core of Bandung Conference were Muslims doing all of this with Soviet back-up.
So no, I don't feel in any sense related with such movement. To me it quite represent the most loser behavior from cultures that wanna return to Middle-Ages/Prehistory or want to impose Middle-Ages into others as Muslims.
One thing is saying no to European imperialism, the other is to demonize an entire civilization and trying to impose backward that will make many countries return to Dark Ages.
China is the ideal to me to some degree if I had to ignore its terrible dictatorship.
