this is gonna make me sound like a huge faggot but i actually dropped umineko after ep 7. the whole reveal about the teen rape was pretty awful, but then all the characters going "ah yes beatrice's soul is surely at peace now" when she got absolutely no justice at all narratively pissed me off to the point that i didn't want to keep reading. a little girl who lived her whole life abused by her own father and died so young not long after giving birth. if you're gonna write something that dark at least have the balls to delve into how awful the reality of that is and have the characters actually acknowledge and atone for it instead of glossing over it.
