A very simple thing that's crossed my mind is that no military IRL has ever issued mass infantry with enclosed helmets

I know there's pilots and guys in NBC gear and everything else but as a practicality for grunts it just seems insurmountable, and it's gotta be one of the single things that's most ubiquitous in fiction and nonexistent irl
