A hobby of mine is that I've bought two flash drives just for the express purpose of saving and categorizing thousands of images, videos, etc. of the golden age before it was ripped away. I've always had a sentimental interest in the preservation of what I love, and I see it as a form of proof that someone can look at an old image and just intuitively know there's something there that's now missing. Proof is a luxury in itself, as there's truths in reality that can no longer, or could never have been proved, and so much has already been lost to the void so it's a race against time.
I would say that's one thing you could do is archive whatever it is that you love or find important before it's all gone. Have backups, all that good stuff. They don't want future generations to know just how far we've fallen. They want it normalized.
