We already discussed this to death: A lot of modern physical games don't have the entire game on the disc/cart, requiring you to download the whole thing and turning your copy into a glorified disc check. Nintendo's the first to make an explicit distinction between which copies contain the full game, so consumers understandably steer away from the copies that don't.
Pic related is the same exact shit as a game key card, only 85MB on the disc (300MB for the Xbox version) and you need to download the other 90GB online. The only difference is that there's no dedicated large, highlighted footer on the box saying any of this, just this little, tiny message tucked in next to the age rating. And some of them only have it on the back of the box.
