I'm trying BG3 again since I lost interest last time. I figured I'd go dark urge this time since having a defined character to roleplay as could help motivate me more.
It worked, thinking "what would a sicko do here" definitely keeps me interested, but it's messed up my story a little. I killed the red demon girl because I figured the black guy's story would be an excuse my character could give himself, I killed the vampire when he was revealed to be a vampire for similar reasons and I lost the black guy when I had an option to kill his devil patron, now I'm on act 3 and I can see some weird loose threads. I'm not sure if this is how I'm supposed to play but I think it's been more interesting. I've also bought the first game for when I'm done. I don't particularly like the writing (the characters are especially uninteresting) but the DnD thing has grown on me.

Laios has "autism" like Senshi has "PTSD" and Marcille has "arrested development". They fit the archetypes for the sake of their goofy characters but they aren't necessarily meant to have the disorders. Laios is meant to be like a turbo otaku, some of whom have autism and have their subcultures altered because of their prevalence.
