Absolutely. The way that the classes interact in the BR is way better, Recon's drone matters far more now, Support providing ammo/heals is a must, Assault's GL is viable and the ladder has more potential for usage with the big ass map (especially for exploits), Engineer you know what it does.
It's like back when people speculated that the Specialists in BF2042 were meant for Hazard Zone or the game's original BR concept that got cancelled, but this time they actually got away with it.
I wouldn't rule out the possibility that they might make changes to the classes in the base game months later, but after what? They got their money anyway, they could've easily made the class system way better much earlier in development, but it was most likely done so that normalfags get accustomed when they switch from the multiplayer to the BR so that player retention for the battle royale starts out strong.
