They took the wrong lessons from World, I would expect mainline to shove it in even more intrusive/uninteresting ways.
I have no fucking idea what was wrong with the way 4U, and especially 3U does things. Moga village is a far better place to care about than the dumbshit story in Wilds. Aisha alone probably mogs most of the cast of Wilds in terms of characterization and all she ever did was act as the quest receptionist and sometimes interrupting you in some stuff like story related quests.

Okay I'll also say the Village Chief, the Shakalakas the samurai and cat fobs were also better characters than most of Wilds.
