Season 1 is a fun sci-fi serial with character development.
Each ally Flash makes on Mongo starts out an antagonist, like Vultan enslaving him to work in the floating city's power plant. This gives them all interesting edge.
On a more superficial note, Ming is voiced by Alan Oppenheimer doing the Skeletor voice before Skeletor, while his daughter Aura has She-Ra's voice.
