I lied about my age to get my first job at 13yrs old. Through high school I worked 40hr per week to help support my family because my father could not cut it for various reasons. I worked through college. After college I got the first job I could in the construction field. Worked construction until recently. I got a massive head injury. Now I have epilepsy and I am blind in my right eye. My neurologist told me to apply for unemployment, she felt although I qualify. So she referred me to the epilepsy foundation after a tremendous amount of testing to verify my condition. The epilepsy foundation got me in contact with a specialized lawyer. I filed about a year ago. This has been the worst year of my life not being able to contribute to the household. I have never felt so hopeless and helpless. Am I a NEET. Yeah I guess but not by choice. I just hope my disability claim goes though soon so I can help my family start paying bills again. I lay awake every night thinking about how I could become homeless and disabled. feels bad man.
