It should be pointed out this was an age before widespread Internet. So for a burgeoning weeaboo without much access to Internet the show had a bunch of of references to Japanese culture.

I mean pic-related the Japanese duo who gave us the Teen Titans theme practically got their own show just off the back of the Teen Titans intro.

On top of that the show gave us Raven and Starfire.. Put 2 female coombaits with different personalities in your show and the Internet will argue for years over who is the best.
