Overall it's a failure of an idea, actually a lot of "pizza" stuff is a failure because it's all about location.
The pizza / sub place near me makes a huge amount of money because people walk past it. They walk past, can go inside and spend 6 dollars, and walk out with a meal. It's the only time I ever eat out because I can feed myself effortlessly for 6 dollars and it's in a nice place where I can walk to.
Nobody's gonna drive down some big commercial street to go and drive to a pizza place to spend 5 dollars, so you're left with delivery, and delivery will inflate the price to 10 or 15 dollars or more. If you're not doing walk-in sales and you're trying to sell 5 dollar meals you've lost.
