SSILD is the most beginner friendly method so look that up. Wake up early (or even better, in the middle of the night), stay awake just enough to gain awareness, then practice it. If you see or feel anything weird, it's your body trying to fall asleep so let it happen. It might not happen right away, but at one point you will a)regain awareness in the middle of a dream, or b)realize right away that you're in a dream.
