That being said, there is an extremely complex science to the replacement of human sperm, as well as evidence to suggest that the body reuptakes unused sperm and recycles it. In other words, it is less damaging for you not to jerk off, than if you do.

If you really want me to include this element in the analogy, then you might say that not jerking off is more akin to allowing your grapes (which are going to fall off anyway) to fall close to the vine, such as that they can refertilize it, whereas jerking off is more akin to the permanent removal of a grape.

This all being said, if your goal is just to be ready to breed at any time, there is also plenty evidence to suggest that new sperm is superior to old sperm.
