I wrote this in another thread I'm 34 years old I have a 200m^2 hours and 3x the median income in Croatia. I have no kids, wife or even girlfriend.
I own a bicycle, car, I remote work from Asia and the EU for 3 months a year. I have a room thats just for DIY bullshit with 3D printers and tools. I build gundams. I build retro PCs. I jerk off to anime. I own an entire library of manga in Japanese. Like 200+ volumes.
Why the fuck would I trade all this free time and pure entertainment for what?
Pussy? Love? Affection? I don't feel a need for any of that. I don't feel sad or depressed or anything.
I see my friend with children some multiple living with them and it's the same fucking shit as everywhere.

Well I hate to break it to them but I also feel fulfilled and when I'm 80 and can't move I'll just get someone to take care of me in exchange for my house.
I am a millennial boomer but unlike boomers I was smart enough not to have kids. In my 30s I already lived like a fucking 60 year old preferring calm, non eventfulness and a stress free life at all costs.
I look at people with kids and it's nothing but stress.
Society would collapse if everyone was me. But so far more and more people DO live like me.
The women will go crazy without familties because thats how biology works and I might die 10 years sooner because of that too. Seem like old people get lonely.

A little bit more regarding the AV1 video encoding part which I personally find fascinating. Basically AFAIK until recently there's been a horrible trade off with video codecs, you would either have to:
A) Prioritize encoding speed and use x264, which offers horrendous compression efficiency.
B) Prioritize quality and use x265 or worse, libvpx. Both of which are exponentially slower than x264 (especially libvpx).
AV1 does both. I was able to achieve 60 FPS encode speed on preset 5 for 360p video on a Galaxy S8 with it and ultimate it helped me achieve 40% lower file size compared to the H264 original copy with very little quality loss. Which considering that this phone is like a decade old is kinda mind boggling that's now possible to save space on your phone without even turning on your computer.
