if you do and if you experience any irregularities or crashes, I highly recommend using OpenMW since it stabilizes the fps for modern systems.
Pros: stability, runs on Linux & Mac, less weird vanilla bugs, no crashing (at least on my end). You won't notice the minor changes from the changelog if you've never played Morrowind before.
Cons: it is not "pure" Morrowind, but it's as close to bethesda actually giving a damned about updating the vanilla game as possible. And if you start it, you can't transfer over your saves from vanilla Morrowind if you had started a playthrough.
Definitely worthy of your time if you don't mind slightly obtuse systems and a plot revolving around religion.
