CURRENTLY extraction looters are a simulator of sorts like DayZ mods.
very rarely do they have an win-state or a long-term endgame and if they do have an "endgame" it's reached very quickly.
If anything they're like the next-evolution of MMOs.
a persistent or semi-persistent world where people explore and do shit, by exploring, looting, killing, and building shit.

funny enough Escape from Duckov DOES have a defined endgame where the whole point is to literally evacuate from Duckov by collecting enough resources and killing shit to get the hell out of dodge.
then you got Hunt Showdown where it's a lobby round-based system with no persistent world.

Interestingly enough Hunt and Escape from Duckov are actually the more successful extraction looters because they feel like an actual game with goals and win-states.
