Look up some list for stuff to keep for workbenches, that is about it. This game revolves around crafting your gear, so getting the benches up to craft stuff is worth more than anything you could fine outside of that scope. You can also track the resources you need, but only for that tier of workbench. A list is much nicer to know shit down the line

Debatable IMO. All the interiors aren't as good, none of the maps feel as intense because its third person and also doesn't have a Streets equivalent. Buried City is like Streets of Temu in comparison. A map like Blue Gate shows why super long sight lines kinda suck ass in these games, but also the Low vs Epic settings difference is massive.

The fact you can remove treelines, entire bushes etc on low settings is ridiculous. Even at distance some walls stop rendering effectively giving you wallhacks. This actually can happen on Epic too, if you ADS near a wall you can fuck with the way shit in the distance renders.

Down the line I could see "get jolt mine and shot by guy in grass: the game" happen just as much as dude in grass. With the limited extracts if you aren't running a hatch key you will end up getting camped, meanwhile Tarkov has extracts at the edges of the map generally and people don't spawn with the same ones.

If you get ambushed it's on you, you didn't pay attention to any noise and you weren't stealthy enough so you're easy picking if somebody can predict where you're going and wait you there. Keep the PvP in. But make it so you can tell if a player is known for PK through a bounty system. Give someone an icon lasting the whole match if they initiated on someone. And then a longer term icon/identification system if they initiate on X amount of players per week. Considering the size of the maps. There should be no more than 4 players/teams at any given time. Add 50% more arc and drastically reduce the number of players. Then players will have the choice to be lone wolves and avoid being seen by arc and players, try to team up to do big damage to arc and get a lot of loot. With the duality of man, probably not but I'd say Arc is maybe one of the better ways to go about it. The robots are more akin to a stage hazard that you need to balance yourself around, whether it be shooting or avoiding, because an existing robot can impact a pvp fight just as much as shooting said robot can lead to a pvp fight.
Problem is that you have your pve players, and your pvp players. Pure pvp players however cannot stand a non-player difference and so might as well just play Apex if they want a box looting feature with their pure quick pvp.
Pure pve however would also be too boring because unlike big single player games, you don't have a world to explore, you have small set maps.

Game is great. My only problem with the game is playing Solo and being put into a Duo's lobby. Or playing Duo's and being put in a Trio's lobby. Uneven groups work in stuff like Tarkov, but not in this game. You can rogue charm through this game. I have been in fights where my entire team is wiped but talked my way out of an execution. I see a lot of complaining about KOS, but in my ~12 hours of solo I've had maybe 4 or 5 PvP encounters. Most people just go "don't shoot" and I don't shoot. They were so distracted I could crawl in after them and extract.

In other games that went this route, people would just use the PVE mode to farm items and only go into PVP mode when they're fully kitted. In other words, instead of having a diverse spectrum of players in each lobby, ranging from the ones that want to avoid PVP at all costs to the ones that are actively hunting down other players, all with diverse tiers of loadouts, from base kits to juiced to the gills, the PVP game mode becomes completely homogenized. It all becomes juicers sprinting around specifically looking to PVP, and that shit gets boring fast.
I prefer the diverse population of players all in one queue type. That way every raid is different and the playing field feels unpredictable.

I'm on OCE and killed 1 person to practice PvP and movement during combat. Then loaded into another round and was friendly since I was in the mood to pick Scrappy fruits and someone came up, asked if I'm the one killing everyone that night, and said I have the same character model. I just kept emoting "no" and since we were in a friendly solo group, whoever opened fire would get destroyed. Ended up having a PvP appearance I use and a PvE appearance.

I can't believe people actually remember the character models that kill them let alone that OCE is small enough I ran into someone who recognised me. They didn't say I'm the one that killed them so maybe they saw me after the kill and remembered? I was startled.

Tarkov has gun customization to a level nearly no game matches. Even if you play as a carebear with minimum risk you can build towards big fun kits. This is important because you can walk in or out with huge kits that take massive amounts of effort to grind.

Looter shooters and extraction shooters hardly have anything in common, other than basic generalities.
Extraction shooters are much closer to battle royales. The difference is that instead of killing everyone else to win, the main goal is to leave the map without dying. I only got the game this past Wednesday and the change in just three days has been shocking. Went from people being chill and helping each other to 75% of raiders shooting on sight. The enemy AI is tight as fuck. It is so smart that it genuinely makes them fun to fight. Which is hard to get right when the enemy design is clankers.
