There is no "rest of us". There's me, you, and other people, some of which will do pure strength training, and some of which will use maces and clubs, with varying degrees of overlap. You're free to join whichever camp you want, and to keep conflating me with the op lol.
But once again it's a similar principle to swimming (and in some wayvarious rotator cuff and similar exercises like face pulls, rear delt flies, shoulder dislocates etc). One swim pull is little.resistamce, yet doing it for a longer time is a good workout that can do wonders for shoulder health.
