and here's the absolute best tire you can possible have on your touring bike. at least get one on the back if you cant afford both. ive run these for 20k miles with no punctures. ive had them so full of tire wire (short little pieces of truck tire. little needles that stick in the tire) that it looked like a porcupine. pulled them all out with pliers and still didn't get a flat. amazing. probably the single best bit of gear if you want to travel by bike.
