Nice anon. I do have to wonder if these product makers don't actually read this board sometimes; I pretty much asked for (pic) the Kryon like 6 months before Shot Show down to the last detail, albeit in an early not-sure-how-to-manufacture form and without the bullet point of "it's also a shroud to protect you from burns" they repeat so often. I wanted:
>clone of the Tacsol SBX 10/22 silencer cage barrel, but just the cage sold on its own as a P&W muzzle device
(or attached as a service; send in your own barrel)
>if available as a direct clone, put it on a Ruger barrel and not that godawful aluminum Tacsol barrel
(sorry Tacsol it just looks weird on "normal" semi-traditional wood stocked 10/22s and you don't sell the regular barrels in anything but aluminum bull barrel despite offering carbine profile in TD aluminum for some reason)
>with a wider cage than the Tacsol barrel
(it doesn't fit anything over like 1", including the Mask HD which barely fits but you could get a single sheet of paper between it and the wall, maybe; the Kryon went maybe a little far for 22s but it makes sense for rifle/pistol caliber silencer diameters)
>with access to the base of the silencer
(I literally specified the two wrench cutouts like on the Kryon; the Tacsol does not have this and you need to use silencers with permanently attached bases which seems like a huge oversight)
>probably with some fancy machining cuts to make it lighter but nothing too crazy
(IMO maybe the Kryon went a little far lol.) Seeing that at Shot Show was like a weight off my shoulders; I wouldn't have to try and explain a gunsmith what this thing I want made is or try to have to model it to show them my insane ramblings do in fact make sense, but only if you think as crazy as I am. Also making the base a 1/2x28 to 1/2x28 adapter and machining the base of the cup in one piece makes so much sense (even if $$$ to make). Two different materials seems retarded though as you have to P&W the tube, too.
