Do you guys have any examples of improvement. I love going back to stuff I've previously done to see how I've improved. Here for example, a boardgame piece I painted a year ago on the left and one I painted recently on the right. Something I struggle with is highlighting and shadows. I always thought it looked wrong if colours went from dark to bright too suddenly and all my models ended up looking flat. I knew how to glaze, but I'd sit there and glaze it until it was all just the same colour anyway.

I rarely paint everything on a sprue, so I'm tempted to go back and paint some left over models from when I first started to compare. It might be good to see if I've gone backwards in any areas as well.
