I mean you're not wrong that converting carotenoids into Vitamin A is less efficient overall for most humans rather than just consuming preformed Vitamin A in the first place, but, however, cooking the vegetables properly that are high in vitamin A like carrots will make it easier for the human body to digest and absorb the amount of carotenoids from the carrot especially when you pair the carrot with high fat foods. Fatty foods plus cooked vegetables equals more precursor Vitamin A's absorbed and converted into Vitamin A in the body and brain far more significantly than just consuming raw vegetables with very little fat next to them.
Just so you know I'm an omnivore and these are just scientific facts. Cooked vegetables are still great for you, you just have to pair it with cooked meat as well for a strong, healthy, and balanced omnivore diet.
