The Israelites broke up, the tribes had wars between one another. Most of the Israelites scattered and haven't called themselves Israelites for thousands of years. Only some were captured and sold into slavery, namely the tribe of Judah, Judahites which is later shortened to jews.
God told Moses to free the jews, and lead them back to Asia. Moses also tried to bring the back into serving GOD but the jews would not listen to Moses they continued worshiping the "bull" Moses was not a jew. Moses was an Egyptian Priest, in serving God Moses betrayed his own people, and was forbidden to ever return.

Mary and Joseph were levites. The tribe of Levi not the tribe of Judah (jews)

11 tribes of Israel were given lands. the Levites are the priests, and they were given temples in ALL the lands of Israel including Judea. While Mary, Joseph, and Jesus lived in Judea, they were not Judean by blood, they were always Levites.

Judah was given the land of Canaan but only if he succeeded in killing all the Canaanites. Judah failed and instead bowed to the Cananite god.

The other tribes were successful in defeating the pezerites, jebusites, hittites, etc. as God had instructed them to, it was only Judah who turned from God. which led to the curse on all Judahites, their enslavement, and banishment from the holy land.
