This summer in Germany has been really benign. Peak temperatures of 24°C on most days. Occasional 25-27°C. A few episodes of temperatures above 30°C, none lasting more than three days.
Also some rain in July and the harvests of some crops - potatoes, apples, other fruit - are coming in substantially higher than average. They are already talking about shipping potatoes to the third world for free so that they can prevent prices in Germany from falling too much.
TL;DR the weather has been good for crops and it will he hard to justify further price hikes for groceries.
