Because they decided to remove flat added damage to spells every spell scales 1:1 with flat added damage.
Normally of course, that doesn't matter.
HOWEVER.
Some retard dev at GGG decided that it would be funny to give Flame Wall flat added damage.
The drooling retard decided to put in a small number, something that couldn't really affect much: about 100 flat fire damage, since most spells have around 1-2k base damage that's really not that big of a deal.
Right?

Eye of Winter had pathetic base damage of around 50, however, it made up for it by hitting 25 times.
Now anon, what happens if you place a Flame Wall that gives every single one of those projectiles 100 flat added damage? That's right, absolutely retarded damage and a perfect example of WHY these retards decided to remove flat added damage entirely, because they aren't actually capable of balancing it.
If anyone here wondered why Flame Wall and Eye of Winter were absolutely raped in 0.2, that's why.
