In Poland, at the time of the invasion, Lt Colonel Josef Lutz remarked how "the Polish population initially welcomed us when we first invaded Poland, they remarked how we free'd them from the oppression of their own government and secured their freedom against their Judeo-Bolshevik neighbors - they remarked "uwolnij nas Hitlerze" to us on the streets - that is to say, the Nazis were heroes in the eyes of the average Polish citizen."
Poland loved the Nazis and wanted them to lead them. Most slavs did actually, slavs supported Hitler even more then the french did.
