They made Foog dirty. They randomly shoved her in one patch with zero buildup, Space China shilling with no relation to Penacony (the main world of the 2.X patch) until they shoehorned her in, and nerfed her during the beta to be barely an upgrade to HMC at E0S0. To make things worse, she was released after 42 of Bananaslop hiatus and Space China random Wardance shill (By now it's been almost half a year since Penacony ended). To me, I feel like they didn't know how to properly balance Superbreak and didn't want players to get to wild with a playstyle that requires minimal investment and is too easily accessible (You just want SPD and BE% on relics). They also fucked up by messing up the Main Story continuity with so many stupid breaks and changes of setting.
By contrast, you could say that one of the reasons Amphoreus exists is to sell you Cyrene, and her involvement in the story has been building up since before Amphoreus released (Mem and the trailers).
She's also Elysia's expy, and in this game, HI3 expies get excellent treatment and amazing Eidolons. And Amphoreus has been getting updates uninterrupted, so you still have Cyrene and Mem fresh in your mind.
I can't see Hoyo fucking up like they did with Foog.
