>It was an example as a writer
Nobody cares about your OCs. We're not talking about your fanfiction. We're talking about Sonic. What matters is the final product, not some vague "intent" you've projected onto the creators.
>they did not design Amy to be a crazy stalker
Then they shouldn't have given her a theme song with the line "There's nowhere to hide". That's not "playful". It's obsessive. You're the one ignoring what the games actually depict to push this sanitized, secondary fan version of her. Popularized by media like Sonic X.
>You keep hyperfixating on this one line
I'm not. You're just ignoring the rest of the song because it shatters your argument.
>"Come on, settle our lives"
>"You can be my sweetest honey for eternity"
>"I'll always be there for you / In the best and worst times"
It's a song about a sick, codependent love. She wants him to give up his life for her. It's the entire basis of their conflict.
>Amy Rose DOES NOT WANT TO ANCHOR THE WIND. She is the girl who always chases him BECAUSE SHE LOVES ADVENTURE TOO.
This is blatantly false. Where does she show a love for adventure itself? In Adventure, her entire story is about making Sonic notice her. That's it. She isn't an adventurer, she's a groupie. If she just wanted to join the adventure, she'd be by his side with Tails. But she doesn't want that. She wants to be the one to make him "settle down".
You are literally ignoring Amy's entire character as written in the games just to defend your headcanon. You're the one with the "take", Sparky. It just happens to be a wrong one.
