hmm... hard to disagree with that, gender roles and stuff do play a part in shaping a person's mind
good point, but then again i'm not sure such conditioning can be broken once established, maybe through some discoveries but as for how to get to them, well... not so straightforward

the lack of communication is also a problem, communication is the lifeline of any relationship after all, but sometimes it's hard to talk
on the guys' side, there's also that stigma that if you talk about your feelings or admit not being able to do something, you may be ostracized for it, so there's this pressure to "man up" and tough it out

why don't people always debate that you can be direct without being rude, even though being direct IS being rude, and it's the directness of what you're saying that made it rude, not what you were actually saying
