Kiana is a very well written MC. Something rare on a gacha market, so yes!
The game itself starts pretty slow like the other anon mentioned and the old battlesuits/units are really dated, but the game is pretty easy.
After a few chapters the game gives you trial characters to use so there's no need to roll gacha or grind any upgrade materials to enjoy the story.
