No there's not only that. You can't use gsync in dark scenes without seeing flickering if any frametime variances occur. Which is impossible to mitigate sometimes. Some people falsely associate it with big framerate swings when they don't need to be that large for it to be visible, it only needs to be small variances. It will indeed be more visible if the framerate takes plunges, but it's not always the root cause. The biggest shill of the technology in the PC gaming space has never addressed it as an issue. So burn in is something where people debate how long these monitors will last, but one issue that is present day one is that they can't handle dark scenes with VRR.
