I have one perfection save where smoked iridium Lava Eel was my main source of income because I fucking love fishing. My strat was an Advanced Iridium Rod with Quality Bobber, Trap Bobber (making the catch much more comfortable for me), and the Preserving enchantment. I used Deluxe Bait by default because it's much easier to obtain in bulk, and only used Wild Bait when it appeared in a treasure chest, but I wonder how their numbers compare. If I spent all day in the volcano, I could easily catch 40-50 eels for around 250k gold.
