Looks like the cull happened from August 10-September 9 where it primarily affected desktop views from creators that do long form videos and are primarily oriented to older audiences which debunks the restricted mode hypothesis
A new discovery was made after multiple creators reached out to Josh Strife Hayes, they noticed that revenue was never affected and matched the data from the same timeframe on a 2 year delta which furthers the Adblock view hypothesis

The Adblock cull theory now has the most credence out of all the cull theories since most vtuber viewers are power users by default since they use Hyperchat and will likely have Adblock if they weren't on Premium anyway when they already pay for memberships
