There's multiple dimensions of IQ.
East Asians have higher mathematical IQ, which is solving problems.
But they have much less inventive/creative IQ (except for the Japanese, they pretty much don't have any of it).

And the Japs have it only because they were infused with our genetics long time ago:

They have a significant white-like admixture element.
That's what makes them superior Asians and gives them their creativity.
