That's interesting most people I know that are into it said Homestuck actually helped them make friends. It did for me

Its just the codpiece, isn't it?>>151142428
Don't care what anyone says, chicks that like Homestuck are interesting and fun to be around 9 times outta 10

I appreciate the in-depth response. It makes me happy to know how many people had their hearts touched and their lives changed by this amazing story, this creation myth for the digital age

It has motivated a lot of people, you, me a ton of people in this thread and all over the world. That's probably Hussie's greatest legacy imo

Fair enough but that's a bad way of looking at it. There will always be a bigger fish, yeah he made a wonderful story, but what about REAL literature? Homestuck is great but Hussie is no Shakespeare. Just make something. It will feel good
Thanks everyone for answering my question. I started reading at the behest of a good friend back in 2012 but didn't finish Act 2. I didn't actually finish until last June. Now I've played most of the games, read the Epilogues and am caught up with Beyond Canon and my friend who got me into it says I'm more of a fan than him even though he was a day one reader who started with Problem Sleuth and moved in with someone he met on Pesterchum. I went to a con, cosplayed, made new friends I've been in contact with since. Reading it improved my writing and helped me be more social and I credit Homestuck in part to me successfully returning to college this semester.
