Honestly that's really the most of it, something I've seen with people who analyze him tend to treat him as an extension of what AM is. Caine was inspired by him yeah but everyone loves to ignore the other inspirations for him, the other most prominent being Four from BFDI (which to be fair, sounds obscure as fuck and it's understandable that no one has made the connection to them when AM is the more interesting inspiration).

Also idk if this came from goose themselves but I remember something about Caine's character was that he had emotions but his were more "ominous", which could mean how its something he would rather not engage with for some undisclosed fear or that he feels in such a way that cannot be categorized in human terms nor artificial ones and is more dangerous to traverse his mind without some consequence
