Question. I have a 7.62x39 Vepr rifle. It has a slant cut receiver with an adapter to make a standard 90 degrees. I'm pretty sure the receiver is an RPK receiver and the importer (marked as Anaheim, CA) put an AK stock in it, as there is a great deal of play between the stock tang and adapter. I used an AR stock adapter, but I find it raises the checkweld too high to comfortably use the iron sights. Therefore, I would like to put an actual set of RPK furniture on it. Specifically, I would like to put a set of plum RPK furniture on it, pic rel. The problem is, I'm not sure how it actually mounts to the gun. Does it use the two standard wood screws of an AK stock? Can't find a good picture of a top-view of the stock in pic rel.
