Yeah I feel like starting over is the best choice. As much as finishing TF6 with Unicron and Pretender Quintessa sounds cool, that ignores the fact that the canon is completely fucked with the amount or retcons every film gets. Like imagine trying to explain the bayverse timeline chronologically to a new watcher.
