No? If anything the actual problem is that everything is in a quasi-state of being 'not done' and 'published', and about 90% of the loadouts in the game don't have official models for them. People talk big about converting, but most people drawn to TC like it because of the aesthetic they're shown and want said shit, but then you find out almost every model is monopose and needs to be 3d printed which gate keeps a LOT of people out. Top it off with needing highly specific terrain most LGS aren't liable to have and it can be pretty awkward trying to get your shit to take off, especially when said LGS can't really sell any shit relating to your game.
When they get more plastic kits and do some official vids on the game it will take off; the rules are fun and people obviously love the setting, but until then everyone is standing around with their thumb up their ass wondering when it's coming out of playtesting and ready to be a 'real game'. Some retarded map isn't gonna kill a game, otherwise 40k would have died years ago
