After a bit of consideration I ended up getting the Nikon Z5II + NIKKOR Z 50mm f/1.8 S lens to start. Still want a zoom lens for convenience outside along with a macro lens for figgies and maybe a wider angle lens but that's thousands more I'm not yet ready to spend as a casual.
When I first used it earlier for Naru and Raisu it felt like employing black magic compared to using my phone camera since my room is really dimly lit.
