Amonhket is actually pretty cool.
Fantasy has a bad habbit of making fantasy Egypt a watered down flanderized version of its self.
Including lack of influence from outside it's area and always being a ruined place to be explored.
By the nature of MTGs design (or at lest untill the UB labotomy) means that their settings give a good cross section.
Amonket is Ggypt but hyper religiously millitant for a interloping god.
Another I like, cringe as it is, Sharima.
Very undercooked, exists in just art and short stories than a fleshed out setting but gives a good vibe. The idea of a high fantasy desert setting that invokes Egypt without it just being magic Egypt.
